Fallingwater House & Flight 93 Memorial, PA
Overview:
Fallingwater is inscribed as one of 24 UNESCO World Heritage sites in the U.S. and is listed along attractions including the Pyramids of Egypt, the Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal. This house designed by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1939 in the Laurel Highlands of southwest PA.
It blends seamlessly with the landscape and waterfall, fully expressing Wright’s concept of “organic architecture.” Fallingwater seemingly suspends in mid-air above the shimmering cascade, creating the dramatically elegant home. Tour Fallingwater and experience the profound architectural genius' work yourself!
The Flight 93 National Memorial is a memorial built to commemorate the crash of United Airlines Flight 93, which was one of four aircraft hijacked during the September 11 attacks in 2001. The memorial site includes a Visitor Center, the Wall of Names positioned on the flight path and the Tower of Voices, 93-foot tall tower built to commemorate the 40 passengers with one wind chime for each.
